Is there a good, fast, and effective way to learn a lot of football plays fast?
Yeah, I play high school football and tomorrow, coach is giving us a test on most of the plays and most of the positions to determine which of us will be first on the field during a real game. I'm really hoping I will pass that test to be starter or at least back up starter. And yes, I have been studying, I sometimes study to the point where I get a headache but I still have problems remembering when I get on the field for practice. Any tips or anything to help me remember them? Anything, please!
well…
Our plays are based on a number system…
If yours are, that would be the best way.
If not, I truthfully wouldn't know exactly. If you wanted you could make flash cards or something…but by the sounds of it, you don't have that much time.
Just remember your education in school comes before football. Even your coach will realize that.
Australian rules football goes to the NFL?
can someone from Australian rules football play in the NFL? probably play safety? do they hit hard?
These guys come over as overmuscled punters. Autralian rules football has big and small guys that play different positions. As an example: If Sav Rocca, the 6'4", 240 lb punter for the Eagles, would have come over in his prime: he probably could have been a good linebacker, but he would have been too big and without the cover skills for a modern safety. The problem is the guys who do come over, come when they are basically washed up Down Under, so this is a cushy second career, punting balls away.
To answer the other parts to your question, the small speedy guys there could make the transition here as a safety but I doubt as a corner, because man-to-man covering is tough to learn late in your athletic life. Yes, Aussie players do hit hard, but it's a different type of hitting. There are no helmets or pads, so they learn to hit and tackle a different way. Make no mistake about it, Australian rules players are tough, athletic guys who simply play a different sport at a world-class level.
